Set up billing

Set up your billing

Add a valid payment method to activate your Australia Post Verified Account.

To complete verification, you must add billing details to your Zonos account. This allows Zonos—Australia Post’s Qualified Party partner—to collect and remit duties for your U.S. shipments, ensuring your labels can be created without interruption.

Set up billing

To activate your Zonos Verified Account with Australia Post and continue shipping to the U.S., you’ll need to add a valid billing method. This is how Zonos collects and remits duties and related fees on your behalf.

Reminder: Access to the Zonos Dashboard and its tools is free—no subscription fees. You’ll only be charged for duties (remitted to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) by Zonos on your behalf) and the postal clearance/processing fee.

Why billing is required

New regulations require duties to be paid upfront for postal shipments valued under $800 USD going to the U.S. Australia Post has partnered with Zonos, a Qualified Party approved by CBP, to collect and remit those duties directly to CBP. To print Australia Post shipping labels, your account must be verified with an approved billing method on file.

Add your billing details

As soon as you complete your business information and create your account, you’ll be prompted to enter your billing information.

If you close out and need to return later, navigate to Zonos DashboardSettingsBilling to finish the setup.

To activate your Verified Account, complete these steps:

  1. On the homepage of Dashboard, select Add billing details.
  2. Under Add a payment method, enter your credit card details.
  3. Under Billing details, add your name, email, phone, and address.
  4. Click Save.

Keep a valid payment method on file so Zonos can invoice you directly for duties. If the credit card is not valid and the collection of duties fails, you will not be able to create Australia Post labels.

Once your billing method is added and approved, you’re ready to add your Australia Post shipper identifier.
